Garmin GNS 430/530
Docking Station
The Commander 200G Docking Station is designed to accept
either the Garmin GNS430 or the GNS530. Simply slide your Garmin
430 or 530 into the rack and turn on the unit.
By placing the Garmin GPS within the docking station it is automatically
programmed to operate in the "Demo" mode (demo mode can NOT be
wired to operate in the aircraft). Now you can be in the comfort
of your home and learn all there is to know about the Garmin
product. Give the unit a ground speed, enter a waypoint and now
you are flying just as if the GPS was installed in the aircraft.
You'll see Special Use Airspace such as Restricted Areas, and Class B, C
and sorts. You'll see the course line to the next waypoint and
will be able to get airport information as you fly along.
Call up any approach while at home and get used to flying it,
yes the GPS will actually fly the approach just as in the aircraft when
installed in this docking station. I can't think of a better way
to become accustom to an approach you'll be shooting in the next day or
so. The GPS also allow the use of "OBS" button and you
can watch the "Suspend" light illuminate when you reach the
final point or enter the holding pattern.
Another good use of the docking station is it allows you to
program in your flight plans at home and enter user defined waypoints
and check list. If you can't attend one or our Hands-On training
classes, I'd highly recommend purchasing our Docking Station;
there's no better way to learn your complex Garmin 430/530.

CNX80/GNS480 Docking Station
So you recently had a new
GNS480 installed in the family Flying
Machine; only
problem is you haven't a clue as to how it operates. Don't feel
alone, you and hundreds of other pilots have the same problem. If
you can't find the time to take our CNX80 one-day training class, then
I'd highly recommend purchasing the CNX80 docking station.
Simply remove the CNX80/GNS480 from the aircraft, slide into the
quality docking station, hook up the supplied power cable from the
built-in power converter, plug in the wall and now you're ready to fly
the CNX80 from the comforts of your home. Guaranteed to be safer
and cheaper than learning the CNX80 while flying.
Put the CNX80/GNS480 into the "Demo", give it and airspeed
and a place to go and now you're off! Install flight plans,
practice approaches; you can do just about anything in the docking
station that you can do in the air at a fraction of the cost. Once
you are through practicing, just remove the unit from the docking
station and carefully reinstall in the aircraft. All of your
flight plans and other data will stay inside the unit ready to use your
next flight. The CNX80 is a very complex unit and requires
training from someone who knows the unit. But if you can't attend
a training class, this docking station will aid in coming up to speed on
the CNX80. If you haven't flown for sometime, just remove the
CNX80 at anytime from the aircraft and practice up. (CNX80
