The AirMap COLOR 2000c With
Terrain
AirMap 2000c,
the bright, sunlight readable 5" diagonal, 320VX240H pixel resolution is
nothing less than Awesome!  The glass cockpit page brings a new
revelation to the cockpit. You'll find that once you get used to this page
you actually can fly the aircraft better and with more precision. The unit
does include Marine and Automotive modes of operation.
The AirMap 2000c is much like the non-color 1000, which I
completed a product "Review" on sometime back but of course with color
and the awesome Terrain feature. It's an
outstanding unit, easy to operate and thinks like a pilot does, not some Dilbert
engineer. Lowrance hired a professional pilot to work with the software
engineers so the unit would interact with the flight crew as it should; the
engineers and pilot did a great job. You'll find the 2000c is so easy to
operate that you'll think you're doing something wrong. For the pilot that
pines for the biggest, simplest to operate yoke mounted GPS; the AirMap
2000c is now available at an attractive price.

purchased their AirMap 2000c prior to terrain being offered, we offer the
the terrain card now. Installation is simple, just pull out your present
data card and install the new data card that has the terrain. Why not add

What is Terrain Awareness?
Terrain Awareness is basically the same
as the term Terrain Warning.
Terrain Awareness for the AirMap 2000c is now available! A new 2000c can
be purchased with the MMC card that contains the Terrain Awareness data.
You simply slide out the supplied MMC card that comes with the 2000c and insert
the one supplied, now your AirMap 2000c will have Terrain Awareness, plus you'll
end up with a spare card just in case you erase the one you are now using or
loose it. The 2000c also contains an Obstruction Database.
