The LightSPEED
15XLc ANR Headset

The LightSPEED 15XL-C is an excellent choice in aircraft with quieter
cabins. I found the 15K series worked great in pressurized piston aircraft.
The 15XL may not be an expensive headset but it's a good one! The LightSPEED
15XL-C now has the "Auto Shut-Off" feature found on the higher price
headsets along with Cell-Phone Interface.
This feature shuts off the batteries if you forget to. Notice the fine
features of the 15XL below.
- "Auto Shut-Off", No More Dead Batteries Because
You Forgot to Shut the Headset Off After a Flight
- Peak Cancellation Centered at Low Prop Frequencies
- The 15XL is on a Diet. It Weighs in at Only 15oz
- Average Battery Life is More Than 50 Hours on Two "AA"
Batteries
- Battery Life Indicators
- Dual Volume Controls
- Stereo/Mono Switch
- Ultra soft, 1.25" Thick Temperature Sensitive Comfor-Foam Ear
Seals
- Padded Head Set Bag
- Mic Wind Screen Included
- 16-18dB
of Active Cancellation
- 20dB
of Passive Cancellation
- Cell-Phone

The LightSPEED QFR Solo Passive Headset is the quietest passive
headset I've found to date. The Lightweight Solo
has an Attenuation rating (NRR) of 28.7 dB! Some ANR headsets don't offer
this much attenuation. Bang for the buck, the Solo Passive is a hard
headset to beat.
- Highest Noise Reduction Rating of any Passive Headset to Date.
- Light Weight, Only 11.8 oz.

- Low Profile and Padded headband, very Comfortable and Unrestricted.
- Closed Cell Acoustic Foam Seals, Deeper & Larger Ear Openings, for
Greater Comfort.
- Reversible Boom, Allows for Left or Right Operation.
- Two Year Parts and Labor Warranty, 48 Hour Turnaround
- Individual Volume Controls.
- Mono/Stereo Selector Switch
- Electret Mic with Windsock.

"Review" of the Solo Passive Headset

The QFR Cross Country ANR is basically the Passive
"Solo" headset described above with another 12-14dB of active Attenuation.
This active Attenuation is noticed in the 120-200Hz range.
The QFR Cross Country offers more passive attenuation than any other
headset (same as the Solo above) but now you get the 12-14 dB of active attenuation.
The Cross Country ANR will NOT shut off the batteries when the headset is
not in use like the "XL" series LightSPEED headsets. This headset
should really prove to be a winner in aircraft that have high noise levels above
200Hz such as two cycle engines and many small engine home-builts.
Additional 12-14dB of Active Attenuation
- Significant Reduction in the 120-200Hz Range (where the prop noise is)
- 28.7 Passive Attenuation, More than any Other Manufacture
- Small in-line Battery Control Box (much like the famous 20XL)

- Two "AA" Batteries Provide 20-25 Hours of Operation
- Dual Volume Controls, Stereo/Mono & LED Battery "fuel gage"
- Cell-Phone Interface
Cross Country Standard Features
- Reversible Boom Allowing for Left or Right Side Operation
- Adjustable gain Located On the Mic for Balancing Mic Sensitivity
- Two Year Warranty, 48 Hour Repair
- Electret Mic with Windsock.
