FlightTech ITC-2001 Two Station Intercom

This intercom is a great choice for someone needing a two-place intercom.  Simply plug your standard aviation headsets into the front of the unit; then plug the wires out of the ICS into the aircraft female receptacles and now you're ready to fly. There's a switch that takes the passenger out of the communications loop thus allowing the only the pilot to hear ATC.  This can be a great feature if you have a chatty passenger or don't want the passenger to hear ATC.  There's a built-in PTT switch or you can plug your own, remote PTT's into the unit.  Power can be supplied by an internal 9Vdc battery (not supplied) or simply by plugging the unit into the aircraft power, 12 or 24Vdc. 

There is an audio input for music that will mute when ATC talks are the squelch on the intercom is opened.  There is a cellphone input, your phone may or may not work with this unit.  Will only work with phones that can be attached via a 2.5mm plug. I'll gladly help you with any problem you may encounter but will NOT discuss interfacing a phone with this unit, you're on your own there.

While this intercom will work in just about any aircraft, it really shines in airplanes with a noisy cabin or open cockpits.  It's the best portable ICS that I've ever used in a noisy aircraft.  Most intercom squelch circuits just can handle massive back ground noises but the ITC-2001 can.  Great choice from ultra-lites up!

FlightTech ITC-401-I Intercom

This is the intercom for choice for pilots who wish to use an intercom with their portable radio. Simply plug your ICOM A24, A6, A3, A4 or A22 into the cables out of the ICS.  Now plug your headset into the intercom and talk away!  One can plug a remote ICOM Remote PTT switch (must be an ICOM IC-PTT) in to the side of the intercom and now you have a remote PTT switch.  If you're only going to fly with a portable ICOM, this intercom is the way to go!

There is an All/Pilot switch that allows the pilot to takes the passenger out of the system.  There is a cell phone interface that works with some cell phones that have a 2.5mm jack.  While we offer service after the sale, I don't do cell phones and do not recommend using one while flying. 

The ITC-401-I will work in any aircraft but it really shines in noisy, open cockpit aircraft.  If you pine to use a portable transceiver and have an ICOM model as listed above, this is the intercom for you.

FlightTech ITC-401 Intercom

If you pine for a great two-station intercom that will work in a high noise environment BUT don't need the interface between the ICS and a portable transceiver such as a A24, the ITC-401 would be a great choice.  For production aircraft or just about any aircraft that has panel-mounted radios, this would be a great choice.  The unit may work with some cell phones that have a 2.5mm jack input or it may not.

Notice the ITC-401 does not have a squelch control, that job is left to the ITC-401 and it does a great job of muting out noise without the hassle of a squelch control.  If you have panel-mounted radios and a very noisy environment, this system is a great choice.  Of course it works great in aircraft like Piper and Cessnas also.
